Daytona Bike Week! 3/4/10
We just watched the 2nd Grand National flat track of the year. Sold out crowd, and the racing was awesome! We saw 2 road races at Daytona speedway today, and tomorrow night is the Daytona 200. Local fast guy Danny Eslick is fast qualifier and sits the pole. Can't wait to see that. We have done plenty of riding, though the weather is a bit cool. |

Road trip to Daytona Bike Week! 3/2/10
We left Sat. A.M., drove to Mayflower, AR. for the 1st round of the Arkansas State Championship Series. We practiced on Saturday and raced on Sunday. The weather was great, sunny and in the 50s.I won the over 50 class, Billy crashed in practice and was not injured but done for the day. We had a good time with all my friends at the track.
Left from there and drove to Daytona Florida for Bike Week. We are camped out at the start area for the Alligator National Enduro, which is Thursday. It is Tues. evening as I write this. We went street riding today, partly cloudy and 72 degrees, just a little windy but I'm not going to gripe! It was great! Tomorrow we will ride some more, and eat at my favorite seafood place and watch the 1st Grand National flat track race of the season. More to come! |

Indoor racing is going on right now! 2/2/10
The super-cross season is in full swing with lots of action on T.V. and locally. The National Arena-cross Series was in Tulsa last weekend. It was a great show and the BOK Center is a awesome place for this type of event. The set up is real close to the one used at the Orleans Hotel in Las Vegas where they hold the very popular Enduro-cross. Very nice! Before dismantling the track they held a amateur race that Sunday with many NWA riders participating. (Austin Mayfield, Garrett Comer, Billy Eddy, and Kyle Grigg) They also had a over 40 class race and I'm proud to say I placed second (out of 3). Next time this is in Tulsa you might want to mark it on the calendar. It's great racing at a awesome facility not to far from home. Next on my calendar is Daytona Bike Week March 1-6 so be sure to check back or maybe see you there? |
